Consequences of pride in wealth
1) Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrated about the prohibition of violence. Rasool (pbuh) said, 'Do not be jealous of each other. Do not hold grudges against one another. Do not separate from each other. Rather, all of you become servants of Allah, brothers and sisters.' (Muslim: 6353) Imam Ghazali (RA) wrote, 'The first sin in the world is envy.' Seeing the dignity of father Adam (A.S.), Iblis became jealous of him. Arrogance is born in the mind of Iblis from envy and violence. And because of pride he refused to prostrate to Adam (A.S.). As a result, he becomes cursed and slain for ever.'' Allah says, '(Say, O Prophet!) I seek refuge from the envy of the envious, when he envious.' . Seeing someone's good is not a harm for oneself, if it does not involve harming others. Rather, such an attitude in worship and deeds is very commendable.
Similarly, one of the deadly diseases of the soul is greed. Greed plunges man into the abyss of degradation. Immersed him in the ocean of sins. A greedy person can never be happy. On the authority of Hazrat Anas Ibn Malek (RA), the Prophet (PBUH) said, 'If there was a "valley" full of gold for the son of Adam, he would desire two valleys for him. His mouth will be filled with nothing but earth. But whoever repents, Allah will accept his repentance.' (Sahih Bukhari: 6439)
Greed is the father of many sins. It is because of this greed that people appropriate the wealth of orphans. The sisters' due share is killed and eaten. Captured power by killing opponents. Therefore, the Prophet (PBUH) prohibited greed and said, 'Beware of greed, because it is what destroyed those before you and provoked each other to bloodshed. Because of greed and lust, they have declared haram as halal.' (Muslim)
And pride is a serious social disease, which destroys the world and the hereafter, leads people away from the path of guidance and truth and leads them astray. Arrogance caused Azazel to become the 'outcast devil'. In the past many communities of the world have been destroyed because of pride. People are usually proud of their wealth, knowledge, worship, influence and prestige, etc. But these are all blessings or favors of Allah. There is no question of arrogance due to God's grace or grace. Instead, the servant should be grateful. Allah does not like the proud and arrogant.
It is said in the Holy Qur'an, "Surely Allah does not like the proud and proud people." (Surah Luqman, verse: 18) Pride is - to think oneself greater than others, to reject the truth arrogantly and to despise people. On the authority of Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud (RA), he said, Rasulullah (SAW) said, "Whoever has an iota of pride in his heart will not enter Paradise." When the Prophet (PBUH) said this, a man stood up and asked, "There are some people who like to wear nice clothes, like to wear nice shoes, can these be called pride?" In reply, the Prophet (PBUH) said, 'Allah is beautiful, He loves the beautiful. Pride is concealing the truth and calling people inferior.' (Sahih Muslim: 275)
The result of pride in the world is nothing but humiliation. As much as there is pride in his heart, his knowledge and understanding will decrease. Arrogant people are considered to be hated by everyone. When man is arrogant, many sins and faults accumulate in him. Allah will punish the proud in this world and in the Hereafter. The Prophet (PBUH) said, 'A man is always arrogant. Then comes a time when his name is recorded in the book of the arrogant, then he will be consumed by the punishment that was consuming the arrogant.' (Jamee Tirmidhi, Hadith No. : 2000) Pride will prevent entry into Paradise. The arrogant will be humiliated, humiliated and admitted to hell.
The Prophet (PBUH) said in a hadith, 'Shall I inform you about those who will go to hell? They are arrogant, boastful and stubborn people.' (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No-7366) Only our Creator can be proud. Because he is omnipotent. Rasool (PBUH) said, Allah says, 'Pride is my cloak and greatness is my garment. I will cast him into Hell whosoever quarrels with me about either of these two.' (Sunan Abu Dawud, Hadith No: 4092)
The disease is spreading in the society in three epidemic forms. Greed, envy and pride are the biggest obstacles to peace, harmony and prosperity in society; Which destroys human humanity, awakens violence. The most beneficial and effective medicine to get rid of pride is to ask Allah for help and supplication. Because of this, the Prophet (PBUH) taught the Ummah to pray and he himself prayed to Allah more and more in Salah.
