Consequences of pride in wealth

 When a person thinks that he is better, superior, powerful or bigger than another person; or treats someone as inferior or inferior in any way; This mentality of his is called pride. It is an emotional feeling. But it manifests itself through human actions.

We know that Allah does not give His blessings to everyone in the world - wealth, power, talent and ability equally. He gives this blessing to someone and not to anyone. Fields are made more or less. People should express gratitude for the blessings given by Allah. When people forget about Allah's blessings and think of them as their own wealth, that's when pride begins. And because of this pride, people's relationship with Allah is severed.

There are many narrations in the Qur'an Kareem and Hadith about the consequences and punishment of arrogant people. Allah does not love or like an arrogant person. Regarding pride, it is mentioned in various places in the Holy Qur'an, "Surely Allah does not like a person who is proud and proud of his stature." - Surah An-Nisa: 36

Elsewhere in the Qur'an al-Kareem, it is further stated, 'Do not turn your face away from people and do not walk proudly in the world. Surely Allah does not like a braggart and an arrogant person.' - Surah Luqman: 18

The ultimate end of the arrogant is hell. Because he frees himself from the subordination of Allah through pride and becomes reckless. Considers himself very big and powerful and strong and despises and despises people.

This becomes clear from a hadith narrated by Hazrat Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. In the hadith, Hazrat Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'Whoever has an atom's worth of pride in his heart will not be able to enter Paradise. A person said, A person likes his clothes to be nice, his shoes to be nice (is that pride?). Hazrat Rasulullah (SAW) said, Surely Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty. Arrogance indeed is - being reckless of the servitude of Allah and despising people.' -Sahih Muslim

In another hadith, it is also mentioned that Hazrat Rasulullah (SAW) said in this context, “A proud person and a false pretense of pride will not enter Paradise.” -Sunan Abu Dawud

Allah punishes pride not only in the hereafter but also in this world. If we review the history, it can be seen that due to the pride and excesses of many previous nations with wealth and governance, Allah Ta'ala has given exemplary punishment to the world. In this context, it is mentioned in the Qur'an, 'How many towns have I destroyed, the people there were proud of their wealth. Here lies their house, where few have lived after them. In the end I am the inheritor (of all this).' - Surah Al-Qasas: 58

The Qur'an and the Hadith describe the history of the previous destruction of various sects. Many previous rulers and powerful people were arrogant, so Allah gave them proper teaching. The history of their tragic consequences has become an example for the people of the world. That is why names like Pharaoh, Karuna and Nimrud are still remembered with disgust by people.

A true believer will renounce pride and arrogance in any situation. Their words, deeds and behavior will never show arrogance but humility. Allah says to the believers in the Qur'an, "Do not walk proudly on the earth." Surely you will never be able to rend the ground with your feet. And it cannot be as high as a mountain.' - Surah Bani Israel: 37

There are many people who show pride by wearing expensive and precious clothes. About them, Hazrat Rasulullah (SAW) said, 'Whoever drags his clothes on the ground out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection. Then Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A.) said, "My lungi gets loose when I am careless and goes below my ankles, unless I fasten it well." Then Rasulullah (SAW) said, "Do not do it out of arrogance." - Sahih Bukhari

Pride spoils people's worship. In order to escape from pride, we should thank God for the wealth, knowledge and kindness given by God. And for the person who has not received these blessings, he should pray in the court of the great Lord, so that Allah will grant him all these blessings. And this mindset should be maintained, the worship I am doing is very insignificant compared to the blessings given by Allah. So I have nothing to be satisfied with. Allah can take away this blessing at any moment, He can turn a king into a pauper in a short span of time. All our blessings are God's gift. And to brag about it is to despise the gift of the benefactor. So we must always be careful. So that I never become arrogant because of wealth, strength, power, education, beauty, profession or any other blessing, do not degrade others.
